Jimmy Scott - IF YOU ONLY KNEW - DVD Wrap

Rhino Records released this touching and original documentary on the highly overlooked Jazz singer Jimmy Scott. Matt Rudin designed a DVD cover for the film which captured the style of the jazz artist, while inside art portrays Jimmy's amazing tour of Japan, where a lot of the documentary was filmed.

San Diego based recording artist Denny Lira writes songs that are moving, free spirited and each one tells a story as diverse and emotionaly driven as Denny Lira himself. For this cover art Matt Rudin wanted to express in vivid colors, the journey that Denny Lira brings his audience on, through his music. At the same time it was important to give a sense of ease in the art that co-exists in Denny's powerful song writing.

PLEASE KILL ME - The Uncensored Oral History of Punk

This UCLA class project was designed by Matt Rudin. It captured the chaos and edgy, first-hand story telling in this book, by Legs McNeil and Gillian McCain, which is aptly subtitled The Uncensored Oral History of Punk, because it is a collection of true-stories and accounts of some of punk's most influential players.
